Vanessa talked about the upcoming pre-leasing of the apartment units, beginning on October 1st.  Listeners got an update on the new Stoel Rives office space that will take up the top 9 floors of the building, before Brian and Vanessa discussed why the area adjacent to Park Avenue West, Fox Tower, and Director Park is becoming the new hub of downtown Portland. DMV Grand Opening at Delta Park Center


The new North Portland DMV Field Office is now open at Delta Park Center. Following a ribbon-cutting ceremony on March 30th, the new field office officially opened for business. Relocated from their former office on Interstate Avenue, the new DMV Field Office provides a larger lobby waiting area, additional counter spaces to increase capacity to serve customers, and parking spaces to accommodate guests.

The new DMV office is located at 1186 N. Hayden Meadows Drive.

Women of Color Empowerment Conference Brings Leaders to the Table

The 2nd annual Women of Color Empowerment Conference was held yesterday in Portland. Co-hosted by the Portland Business Alliance and the Asian Pacific American Chamber of Commerce, the event brought together some of Portland’s top women leaders to discuss how they conduct business with integrity and ethical sensitivity. Following a keynote from Higher Education Coordinating Commission Chief of Staff Cheryl Myers, TMT President & CEO Vanessa Sturgeon joined Kay Toran of Volunteers of America Oregon and Janet LaBar of Greater Portland, Inc,, to discuss concrete strategies to empower women in business.

Tom Moyer honored at DJC 2015 Newsmakers Luncheon

The Daily Journal of Commerce 2015 Newsmakers Luncheon was held yesterday at the Sentinel Hotel.  TMT President & CEO Vanessa Sturgeon was on hand to accept a posthumous 2015 Newsmakers award on behalf of her grandfather, TMT founder Tom Moyer. Park Avenue West, Moyer’s final project, was recognized as having significant impact during the coming year.  Also receiving Newsmakers awards yesterday were Delta Park Center tenants Oregon Association of Minority Entrepreneurs (OAME), and Park Avenue West  General Contractor Hoffman Construction, a longtime TMT partner. OAME opens new offices in Delta Park Center

Oregon Association of Minority Entrepreneurs (OAME) celebrated the grand opening of their new offices in Delta Park Center with a ribbon cutting ceremony on September 12th, 2014. OAME Chairman Sam Brooks was on hand to cut the ribbon and welcome the public to the new location. OAME’s mission is to “Promote and develop entrepreneurship and economic development for ethnic minorities in the State of Oregon and work to reduce discrimination and racism.” TMT is proud to welcome them as Delta Park Center’s newest tenant!

TMT receives Deal of the Year award at Better Bricks ceremony

TMT was recently honored with the 2014 Deal of the Year award at Portland Business Journal’s Better Bricks Commercial Real Estate Awards ceremony for Park Avenue West Tower. Upon accepting the award, TMT President & CEO, Vanessa Sturgeon thanked First Republic Bank, Columbia Bank, Hoffman Construction and TVA Architects for their commitment and dedication to the project, as well as the citizens of Portland for their support in getting the Park Avenue West Tower project going again.

TMT Development represented at Columbia River Levee Team Meeting at PSU

TMT Associate Vice President Robert Pile was invited to sit on a panel at the Oregon Solutions Columbia River Levee Team Meeting at Portland State University.  Delta Park Center and the Airport Commerce Center are two TMT properties that are located in the Columbia River floodplain, and Robert spoke of the potential impact and challenges that local developers face should the levees lose FEMA-accreditation.
