The Christmas Family Adoption Foundation is an organization that provides assistance to those who would otherwise not have a holiday celebration. This is achieved by connecting people in the community to families in need. The goal is to adopt 200 families this holiday season to provide children with toys, clothing, and other necessities. In addition, the entire family is provided with household essentials and gift certificates for a wonderful holiday meal.

They also have a free store for teachers and provide Tools for Schools backpacks.
Habitat for Humanity sells homes to hardworking people in need of decent, affordable housing. They welcome people from all walks of life to partner with the program to serve families in need with generosity, humility and love. Habitat offers homeownership opportunities to families making $21,900 – $43,800 (for a family of four) by selling homes at cost, making no profit, after the family contributes 500 sweat equity hours. Houses are sold at cost because of volunteer labor and donations. Families pay a 1% down payment on a 0%- interest mortgage. Instead of being in a vulnerable and fragile economic position, Habitat families find themselves in a position of strength.
New Avenues believes that every young person should have food, shelter, and access to education and job training. We believe we must go beyond meeting basic needs and offer programs that heal young lives and foster growth and independence.
A memorial to Marilyn Moyer, the Moyer family chose to honor Marilyn by providing a building for thought and meditation that offers solace for those seeking it. The 1400-squarefoot Chapel occupies the most visually prominent location on a 58 acre Catholic sanctuary east of downtown Portland, OR. Perched at a nearly vertical 130-feet high basalt cliff, the building site offers panoramic views to the Columbia Gorge.
The Friends of the Marilyn Moyer Chapel is a group dedicated to the preservation of the Marilyn Moyer Meditation Chapel at The Grotto in Portland, Oregon. With help of friends and family, we keep this international architectural award winning building looking spectacular so that future generations may enjoy it.
